Jérémy Delolme

Ecologist and Coordinator of the conservation plan for the Pointe des Châteaux as part of the Opération Grand Site - Saint François, Guadeloupe

In charge of the implementation of the Atlas of Communal Biodiversity, the Life4Best project and the accompaniment of the Marine and Terrestrial Educational Areas.

Passionate about fauna and flora, he discovered the Pointe des Châteaux and its richness during my internships in ecology/ethology and continued his commitment to this extraordinary site by accompanying the municipality of Saint-François in the implementation of a conservation plan, in particular for the species that depend on wetlands and the management of impacts resulting from tourist pressure.

Raising the awareness of elected officials appeared to be essential in order to involve them in the preservation and enhancement of the Classified Site and made it possible to initiate conservation programmes throughout the commune by involving schools (Marine and Terrestrial Educational Areas) and institutional and associative partners.

The observation of the ecological discontinuity between the various natural sites of the commune has led the commune to apply for various calls for projects for financial support in the restoration of ecological continuity and the enhancement of natural sites (ABC, Life4Best, future TEN...).
