Gaël Giraud is an economist, director of research at the CNRS, director of the Environmental Justice Program at Georgetown University, and a Jesuit. He has worked as chief economist at the French Development Agency and published several books and academic articles. His research interests lie at the intersection of financial macroeconomics, climate science and natural resource geophysics.
